Presidio Transit Center and La Terrasse Restaurant

Located on the Main Post, the facility serves as a transit hub for Muni bus service and the Presidio Shuttle. The center is also home to La Terrasse, one of several restaurants in the Presidio. Landscape improvements include a large, wind-sheltered outdoor dining terrace for the restaurant, seating areas for transit riders and bicycle parking facilities. Plant materials were selected to complement existing street trees used in the area and shrub massing was used to define the site areas. A hedge of flowering evergreen shrubs was planted along the perimeter of the large dining terrace to help separate this area from the street and transit areas.
