The renovation of Building 39 for the San Francisco Film Centre was one of the first major projects completed in partnership with the Presidio Trust. The project included the renovation of the former enlisted men’s barracks and the restoration of adjacent landscaped areas. A key component of the work was the preparation of a cultural landscape report, which documented the development of the site and served as a guide to the restoration of the landscape to its original state when the building was occupied by the Army. The project was completed in accordance with both National Park Service and California State Historic Preservation Office standards.
