This home is sited along an oak-lined stream and has sweeping views to the adjacent vineyards and the Mayacamas Mountains. Two fieldstone walls separate the driveway from the house and create a formal entry to the house and garden. A concrete terrace provides access to the house as well as space for outdoor dining. The terrace was finished to match the existing concrete floors in order to unite the indoor and outdoor spaces. The fire pit in the corner of the terrace is enclosed on two sides by a fieldstone seat wall. A broad set of steps connects the terrace to the new deck, which provides space for lounging next to the pool. Four specimen olive trees were planted as focal points within the garden and timber bamboo was used to screen the main house from the guesthouse.
