Located at the high point of the Presidio facing the Pacific Ocean, Rob Hill has been used as a group campground for many years. After decades of heavy use and deferred maintenance, the Presidio Trust identified this area to be improved as part of their reforestation and trail improvements program. The master plan for the campground includes four group and six individual camp sites, a campfire circle and new restroom facilities. Circulation improvements will include pedestrian and vehicular access and relocation of the Bay Area Ridge Trail and Juan Batista de Anza Trails to the perimeter of the campground.
