The Officers Club at Fort Mason

San Francisco, California

SWLA recently completed a master plan for the Officers Club at Fort Mason. Constructed in 1875 as the residence for the commanding general, the building is one of the oldest structures on the Fort. The building is sited on the east edge of the Fort and has spectacular views over Aquatic Park and the Bay. The focus of the study was to analyze existing conditions and develop a schematic design for the renovation of the building for use as an events venue by the National Park Service. Landscape improvements will include new accessible entries to the building, foundation plantings and restoration of the main lawn for outdoor events.
