Opened in 2008, Cavallo Point is an award-winning resort located at Fort Baker in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Centered on the Fort Baker’s historic parade ground, the lodge has sweeping views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge. The resort includes 142 guest rooms, a conference and retreat center, a restaurant and a spa with an outdoor pool. The facilities are housed in mix of renovated historic buildings and new lodging buildings that were located throughout the site. SWLA has been working with the resort management since 2015 on the renovation of the Fort’s historic jail and on a series of small projects to address site and landscape issues that have developed after 10 years of active use.
