This project is a memorial to James Harvey, a major supporter and benefactor of the Presidio of San Francisco. Working with the Golden Gate National Parks Association and the Presidio Trust, SWLA developed the design and construction documents for the memorial. Located at Inspiration Point, it is a simple, stone paved overlook that offers views across the Presidio to the City and the Bay. Enclosed by a low, stone-faced seat wall, the memorial includes benches and an interpretive plaque. The site was landscaped with plant materials native to the open grass hillsides of the Presidio.
