Merryvale Winery is an historic winery that has served as a landmark for the community for over 60 years. The project included the renovation of the winery, relocation of a 19th century schoolhouse for winery offices, construction of new parking areas, and installation of a seating area and fountain at the entrance to the winery building. The tasting room parking lot was planned as a parking grove, where cars park within a grid of closely planted plane trees. The fountain highlights the entry to the tasting room and serves as the focal point of an outdoor seating area. The landscape concept for the site was based on the local landscape vernacular and uses palm trees, flowering perennials, and native plantings.
