Santa Rosa Village will provide housing for 600 students at this 12 year old CSU campus. Located adjacent to the South Quad, the project is composed of two, four story buildings that are sited to create a series of outdoor courtyards. Designed to complement the architecture of the historic Spanish Revival campus, the project also provides family rooms, a community room, and a large kitchen for use by the students. The landscape plan is organized around the building layout, points of entry and active ground floor uses and provides a variety of spaces for circulation and informal activities. Planting will extend the campus landscape fabric of large areas of lawn punctuated with specimen trees and bordered by shrub planters along the face of buildings.
